「백화요란~바다를 건넌 에도 회화」
도쿄도미술관에서는 개관 100주년을 기념한 전시 「대영박물관 일본 미술 컬렉션 — 백화요란~바다를 건넌 에도 회화」가 개최되고 있습니다. 세계를 대표하는 미술관 중 하나인 대영박물관이 소장한 약 4만 점의 일본 컬렉션에서 에도 시대의 회화와 우키요에 판화 등을 엄선해 소개하는 전시입니다.
가쓰시카 호쿠사이, 기타가와 우타마로, 우타가와 히로시게, 도슈사이 샤라쿠 등 에도 시대를 대표하는 우키요에 작가들의 작품은 물론, 영국에서 처음으로 귀환하는 소중한 작품들도 선보입니다.

대영박물관에서 온 일본 미술 명품
대영박물관 일본 컬렉션에서 에도 시대의 병풍, 족자, 그림두루마리, 우키요에 판화 등을 엄선해 전시합니다. 기타가와 우타마로의 육필화 《文読む遊女》, 마루야마 오쿄 《虎の子渡し図屛風》, 가쓰시카 호쿠사이 《『万物絵本大全』版下絵》 등 주목 작품을 가까이에서 감상하실 수 있습니다.

가쓰시카 호쿠사이의 《『万物絵本大全』版下絵》는 영국에서 처음으로 일본에 귀환하는 작품입니다. 본 전시에서는 오랫동안 행방이 묘연했던 제판용 밑그림 103점 가운데 8점을 선보입니다.

약 150년 만에 재회하는 후스마에
모모야마 시대 말부터 에도 시대 초기에 狩野宗眼重信가 손수 그린 후스마에도 주목하세요. 대영박물관과 아오모리현 나카도마리정의 옛 가문인 미야코시 가에 나뉘어 소장되어 있던 작품들이, 최근 조사로 일련의 작품임이 밝혀졌습니다. 약 150년 만의 재회가 이루어집니다.
